Leading preparation technology for the ceramic industry

For many decades Eirich has been the leading provider of top technologies for the preparation of raw materials and bodies in the ceramic industry.

Many further developments in the fields of coarse ceramics, technical ceramics and refractory have  been made possible by the innovative solutions from Eirich. Advanced control technology and sensor systems improve quality assurance and help you to make the best of your products. Examples of end products are tiles, sinks, toilets, dentures, tableware, artificial joints, proppants, bricks, chimney pipes, and many more.

Tool speed flexibility – One of many EIRICH advantages

One of the advantages of Eirich’s high-intensity mixer, or high-shear mixer, is the energy input that goes into the mix. The high tool speed breaks up agglomerates and ensures a fully homogeneous mix, also of very small quantities. In addition, the mixing times are reduced (minutes instead of hours). Short mix cycles result in high throughput rates, and constant mix quality means reproducibility and reliability.

But the Eirich mixer is not only capable of high shear mixing. The mixing tool can run at variable speeds, which makes it easy to reduce or increase speed per application or step in process. This allows for mixing, granulating (adjustable granule size, including micro granules), kneading, and dispersing in one unit, which in turn saves space and time.

Examples of tool speed settings for ceramics applications:

  • High tool speed allows for agglomerates in dry mix to be broken up completely.
  • Medium tool speed allows for mixes to be kneaded effectively.
  • High tool speed allows for slips or slurries to be prepared in minutes !

For ceramic applications, the Eirich mixer capacity ranges from one liter up to 3,000 liters. With the EvacTherm® mixer you have the additional option to dry ceramic bodies. And with the MixSolver® you can prepare a slip in as little as 20 minutes!
