Pelletizing

Preparation of pellets and micro-pellets

When processing raw materials for the production of green pellets, ultrafine ores are mixed with binding agents (e.g., bentonite) and aggregates (e.g., limestone or dolomite).

The preparation in the EIRICH Intensive Mixer is performed in continuous operation.

This results in the following advantages:

  • Low consumption of binding agents
  • Reduced energy requirement
  • Higher green strength of pellets with a low recycling quota
  • High and constant homogeneity of material at throughput rates up to 1,400 t/h
